CFS-973, Hexamethyldisilazane is a trimethyl terminated silyl amine. It is an extremely strong silyl agent. It can be described as Bis(trimethylsilyl)amine and it's normally abbreviated as HMDS. CFS-973 can be used in GC-MS to enhance the detectability of compounds with polar functional groups;
CFS-973 can be used as surface modifier for inorganic fillers treatment. HMDS coatings on various micro and nanoparticles make them be resistant to water and flocculation.
